Kate Herr, LSW
Practicing Since: 2018
Kate tailors her therapeutic approach to meet the needs of everyone, and uses various treatment methods such as CBT, Person-Centered, and Humanistic therapies to best service those individual needs. She is honored and humbled at the opportunity to walk alongside someone on their journey towards clarity and peace in their life.
Struggling with mental health is not an uncommon experience for mankind, and a common thread that connects us all is the experience of joy and pain we encounter throughout life. Everyone has experiences that have set them back in some way, and we can all benefit from sharing these experiences together with someone who can help compartmentalize the pain and help celebrate the joy.
Recognizing that starting the counseling process can be intimidating and requires vulnerability, Kate does her best to make sure that her clients feel empowered through this process, and strives to make time together collaborative, efficient, and even a little fun.
Married with three children, in her spare time, Kate loves to bake, decorate cakes, and cook without recipes- leading her to self-describe as “prone to making a large mess in the kitchen”. She also enjoys espresso, being out in nature, thrift shopping, and reading books to her children in funny voices. Kate is licensed in the state of Pennsylvania (#SW136015) and is under clinical supervision of Bruce Weatherly, Psychologist (PS005590L).
