Abigail Bernd, LPC

Practicing Since: 2019

Abigail, who likes to go by the name “Abby,” is thankful to have finally settled in South Windsor, Connecticut after having lived in many different places. From New York to Alberta, to many other locations, God has always been with her – just like He is with all of us. From a young age she learned to turn to Him, and this has grounded her.

Abby received her bachelor’s degree from Portland State University. She went back to school and received her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Cambridge College. Abby feels blessed to be a counselor and to be able to help people navigate mental health struggles.

Abby specializes in treating anxiety, depression and helping women get through different stresses in life. Abby is a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, (CCATP). She uses CBT- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help people hold onto what is good and change negative core beliefs to positive ones. This helps us be the people who God calls us to be.

Abby provides a safe, judgement free environment for clients to open up about what they are facing. She listens, encourages them, and helps them to see hope. Jesus is at the center of Abby’s life, and she feels thankful to have found Him. She enjoys studying the bible and spending time with her family, which includes her husband, two sons and two dogs. She loves cooking, playing games, and watching football and basketball!

Abby is licensed in the state of Connecticut.
