Dr. Wendy Hannon, DNP, CRNP-PMH
Practicing Since: 2004
Wendy collaborates with clients of all ages to foster a trustworthy and supportive environment that promotes emotional well-being and healing. She employs nonpharmacologic therapies, and medications, when necessary, to help clients improve or maintain their mental health. Alongside medication management, Wendy frequently integrates cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, or motivational interviewing into her sessions. She emphasizes the importance of clients being active participants in their care plans and prioritizes education about prescribed medications and mental health diagnoses. Whether clients wish to incorporate faith into their treatment or not, Wendy provides a compassionate and supportive space for healing and growth.
Having been a licensed nurse practitioner for 20 years and holding a doctorate in nursing practice, Wendy is well equipped to provide excellent medication management and mental health care to her clients. She began her career as an adult and women’s health nurse practitioner, addressing common mental health issues in primary care. And she also has 15 years of experience working with both adult and pediatric clients who have experienced sexual abuse. She later earned a post-doctorate certificate as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. And before her career as a licensed nurse practitioner, Wendy spent 10 years as a career firefighter/paramedic.
A wife to her husband of 27 years and mother to their 2 adult children, in her spare time, Wendy enjoys spending time together with them as a family, watching classic movies, leading Bible study, working out, and talking her dog for walks.
