Carolyn McDonald, LCSW-C

Carolyn graduated from Bowie State University in 1997 and received her Masters of Social Work from University of Maryland at Baltimore in 2000. She has worked in the field of Christian counseling since that time. In addition, she worked in the field of adoption for ten years, providing support and education to birth parents with unplanned pregnancies and helping place children in their forever homes. She has experience working with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, faith based issues, adoption and family counseling. She especially enjoys working with teens helping them develop self-esteem and life skills. She has a strong passion for parenting education for children of all ages.
Carolyn has been a Christian for over 40 years and has been active in her local church teaching Bible studies, working with teens and women’s ministries. In addition, Carolyn has been married for 35 years and has three daughters and four granddaughters. Carolyn believes that Jesus Christ is the center and foundation of a joyful and abundant life. Teaching the principles of Christ and helping others implement them into their lives is a particular joy and key component in therapy.
