Therapy is a collaborative effort between you and your therapist. You are the expert in your life and your experiences, and Michelle’s job is to help build on your strengths and teach additional tools in order for you to grow as a person. Michelle will be sure to check in throughout the process to ensure she is on the same page with you and address any concerns you may have.
Michelle has worked with a variety of different patients from adolescents with conduct/behavioral disorders to adolescents and adults with trauma, depression, and anxiety. She has worked with couples in order to focus on doing what is best for them as individuals as well as couples. Michelle also has extensive experience working with families and determining how to help them move forward from difficult situations and grow as a family. She is an approved supervisor of graduate level therapists to help teach them therapy techniques for mental health and substance use issues and how to grow as clinicians. Michelle enjoys utilizing multiple therapy techniques such as CBT, strengths-based, mindfulness and motivational interviewing techniques in order to help patients better understand the connection between their thoughts and emotions and how it affects their day to day life.
