Tiara enjoys working with adults who are experiencing a wide-range of challenges that include, anxiety, depression, spiritual stress, natural stress, trauma, relationship issues, workplace issues and stress. She views the mental health and therapeutic process as a collaboration between clients and therapist as clients aim to live happy and whole lives. The therapeutic process is one that fosters self-exploration and connectedness with one’s internal self and a process that inspires true transformation.
Tiara is committed to creating an open and trusting atmosphere with clients free of judgment. She prides herself on meeting clients where they are and working collaboratively with clients along their journey to happiness, healing, and wholeness. She is a proponent of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Integrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solutions- focused and strengths-based, Freudian and person centered approaches. She also enjoys using a biblically sound perspective in therapy with clients who request it.
Tiara graduated from the University of Maryland-Baltimore School of Social Work with a focus in Clinical Social Work and Employee Assistance Programs. She is certified in ACT, MBCT, EMDR, anxiety management, Myers-Briggs, and Emotional Intelligence. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education in Community Care and Counseling with a focus in Pastoral Counseling.
Tiara enjoys reading and learning more about integrating faith and mental health and helping people grow closer to Christ through acknowledging, processing, and accepting their mental health challenges.
