About: I have been a social worker for over 20 years and have a wealth of knowledge and experience working with individuals, couples, and families. I diagnose and treat people who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, domestic violence, women’s issues, grief and loss, and relationship problems. I also see those working through life transitions or those who just want to experience greater satisfaction in life.
I got my master’s in social work at Smith College School for Social Work and have been trained in psycho-dynamic, interpersonal, and family systems techniques. My treatment style combines calm compassion, genuine interaction, and focused attention while providing an empathic, non-judgmental environment that supports growth. I strive to build the therapeutic relationship and then use an individual’s strengths and resiliency to move them forward. My clinical style is eclectic in that I use a variety of clinical tools dependent upon each individual’s goals and unique needs. I will work with an individual to create a treatment plan that best meets their needs and we will work together to address challenges and identify solutions to cope.
