What Clients Can Expect: Tanya meets her clients where they are and provides them with what they need by using a collaborative style of counseling. Her counseling is client-centered and she works with her clients through motivational interviewing, strengths-based, and solution-focused counseling methods to achieve the best outcome for them. She uses homework assignments and weekly check-ins to make sure that counseling is moving in the right direction for the client.
About: Tanya has worked with at risk youth and families in home therapy sessions. She has worked in group homes and with the homeless population who suffer from severe mental illness. Her biggest strength is that she works as a case manager as well as a counselor on behalf of her clients. Tanya puts counseling into action by going the extra mile to make sure her client’s health is taken care of in all aspects: mentally, emotionally, and socially.
