First, Anne likes to get to know a client and hear about what they hope to accomplish through counseling. Then moving forward from there in a gentle and effective process.When clients are comfortable, I like to incorporatefaith into counseling.
About:Anne graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore with a Master of Social Work after interning at Arrow Diagnostic Center and Treatment Foster Care. She is currently licensed as a Licensed Master Social Worker.Anne has experience and is interested in working with children, adolescents, and families.Anneutilizes cognitive behavioral theory (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy,strengths-based therapy,or an eclectic combination ofmethods depending on the client's needs and preferences.When appropriate, she has found that play, art, and other expressive tools help clients communicate. Teaching relaxation and mindfulness methods helps clients with focus, reducing anxiety, and orienting themselves towards change.Anne desires to be a source of hope, encouragement, and the tools clients need to address whatever problem is concerning them. Anne has been married for 6 years and have two sons.
